One continuous knit
A single piece of warp-knit textile covers the sides and the crown, with every driver behind it. The base is recessed, so aaro one appears to float above whatever it stands on.
Two finishes: Pearl, a warm pale grey, and Graphite, nearly black.
Sixteen drivers, each with its own amplifier
aaro one is a complete active system. Every driver has its own amplifier channel and its own filters, so the speaker controls how sound leaves it in every direction.
- 2 height drivers
Firing up, tilted 20° out - 6 electrostatic panels
A curved treble ring - 6 microphones
For room tuning and voice - 6 midrange drivers
One for each direction - 4 millimetre-wave sensors
Presence, never images - 2 opposed woofers
In a sealed 4.5 litre chamber - 16 amplifier channels
With the processing, in the base

Treble from six electrostatic panels
Six curved panels circle the top of aaro one. Each moves a membrane a few microns thin across its whole surface, with a fraction of the mass of a dome tweeter, so detail stays clean and even at every angle.
Bass from two opposed woofers
Two long-throw woofers face in opposite directions inside a sealed 4.5 litre chamber. Their forces cancel, so the cabinet stays still while the bass goes deep. aaro one tracks each driver's movement and temperature and keeps both within safe limits.

Height from the ceiling
Two drivers under the crown fire upward, tilted 20° toward the room. Their sound reflects off the ceiling and reaches you from above, so Dolby Atmos music and films have real height without speakers in the ceiling.
Section through the room, to scale. The wavefronts rise from the driver, turn at the ceiling and come down on the listener.
Room tuning and presence
Six microphones and four millimetre-wave sensors tell aaro one how the room sounds and where people are sitting. All of it runs on the speaker.
Even bass across the sofa
At 71 Hz the bass across this sofa varies by 14 dB; after tuning, by 4 dB. aaro corrects what filters can fix and suggests a better spot when moving a speaker would do more.
Sound centred on the listener
The sensors register people as points in space, never as images. The mix recentres on whoever is listening, and widens when more people sit down.
Before tuning, three seatsAfter tuning
Light, off until you want it
At rest aaro one is plain fabric. Turn the light on and a soft field of colour glows through the knit, taken from the artwork of what is playing.
Warm light from a sunlit cover.
One switch cuts every sensor
A physical slider under aaro one disconnects every microphone and presence sensor. Music, pairing and your saved room tuning keep working, and aaro one never uses a camera.
