1 aaro one
One speaker
A single aaro one fills the room from wherever it sits. Six electrostatic panels and six midrange drivers play in every direction, and two drivers aimed at the ceiling add height.
Sound all around the speaker

aaro speakers find each other, work out where they are and where you sit, and render every sound to the room you have.
Formats count the speakers around you, then subwoofers, then height channels. 7.0.14 is seven speakers, no subwoofer and fourteen channels of height.

2 aaro one
True left and right, with a stable centre between them. Each speaker sends two height channels to the ceiling, four in all.
Format 2.0.4
2 aaro one and 2 aaro sub
Two aaro sub make the pair full range. The two woofers in each sub face opposite ways and cancel each other's force, so the bass goes deep without rattling the room.
Format 2.2.4
4 aaro one
A second pair behind the sofa puts sound all around you, and height now arrives from the front and the back.
Format 4.0.8
5 aaro one
A centre speaker holds dialogue to the screen while side speakers widen the room.
Format 5.0.10
7 aaro one
Sides and rears make a full cinema layout, and fourteen up-firing drivers draw a complete layer of height.
Format 7.0.14
9 aaro one
Front wides close the gap between the screen and the sides, for the most precise placement of every sound in the room.
Format 9.0.18
Each aaro one has two drivers that fire at the ceiling. The reflection arrives from above the listener, so a seven-speaker room has fourteen channels of height without a single speaker in the ceiling.
Works best under a flat ceiling between 2.2 and 3.5 metres. Setup measures your ceiling and adjusts the timing.
Dolby Atmos mixes describe where each sound should be, not which speaker plays it. aaro renders every sound object to the speakers you have, so a helicopter can cross the room in a stereo pair or a nine-speaker theater, more precisely as you add more.
The rings around each speaker show its share of the sound object as it moves.
Plug the speakers in. They find each other on your network, measure the distance between every pair with sound and take their roles. Move one and the system notices and retunes. The aaro app shows this view of your room, live.
Each speaker sends a chirp in turn; a distance lights up when the chirp arrives.
Four millimetre-wave sensors in every aaro one notice where people are, as points in space, never images. The sound recentres on whoever is listening and widens to cover the sofa when friends sit down.
One listener: the sound is timed to them.
Choose a layout and a finish. Every system maps and tunes itself on the first day.
